Accident insurance at a glance
Accidents and occupational sickness can have serious cost implications in the form of hospital treatment, repatriation, therapy, loss of earnings, pension payments or reintegration measures.
Accident insurance covers the cost of medical care and loss of earnings in the case of employees unable to work.
Benefits under mandatory accident insurance in accordance with the Accident Insurance Act (UVG/LAA) are, however, limited. For this reason, supplementary accident insurance covers further benefits.
