Spring 2020 saw the completion of four multi-family dwellings on the Bahnhofstrasse in the centre of Wattwil containing 75 apartments as well as 1 800 m2 of commercial space in the basement. An underground garage with 63 parking spaces was also built.
Phase 1 of the project (Bahnhofstrasse 18/20) is owned by railway company Schweizerische Südostbahn AG (SOB). This first phase was ready for occupancy as of autumn 2019. The second phase (Bahnhofstrasse 22/24), owned by Asga Pensionskasse Genossenschaft, followed in spring 2020.

The modern 2 and 3-room apartments are ideal for one and two-person households. The fit-out satisfies a high rental apartment standard. A standout feature is the generously sized terrace above the basement.
The shop areas (each comprising 80 m2 of rental space or more) in the basement are particularly suitable for sales and service operations, professional practices and exhibition venues. Commercial companies profit from high footfall in the direct vicinity of the station. A number of short-stay parking spaces are available for customers. The public underground garage accessible from the building can be used for longer parking times.
